All Our Wrong Todays by Elan Mastai was a focus title pick during my time at Penguin Random House, so I took the initiative to read it thoroughly and, at the request of the marketing team, pitched ideas for promotional materials that would set the book apart. A book about a prodigal son who forever alters the trajectory of the future, I pulled out the key phrase “There’s no such thing as the life you’re supposed to have,” which I hand-lettered for a tote that we then turned into a tattoo design. I used some of the other taglines I pulled from the novel to use for a series of social images.
